As you are aware, leak detection and repair (LDAR) regulations affect industries where volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are used or manufactured. Ethanol manufacturing facilities use many pieces of equipment that could potentially leak VOCs into the atmosphere. Testing this equipment for leaks several times each year is the only way to make sure that the equipment is operating safely and in compliance with federal regulations. The results of this testing must be reported to the state and local agencies that monitor LDAR regulations.
Pepper Maintenance®, in addition to all the services previously offered, works with renowned agencies in the ethanol industry providing services specifically regarding LDAR regulations that are mandated by the federal government for ethanol plants. Ethanol plants are required to report the findings of LDAR inspections on a monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual basis. Any plant not doing so would be considered out of compliance.
